What Caregiver Coaching Can Help You With
Dealing With Difficult Emotions
Feelings of guilt, resentment, and exhaustion are very common among caregivers. We’ll work on strategies to manage stress and burnout, helping you process difficult emotions without judgment.
Openly Communicating Needs
Having a talk with your loved one about their needs and your boundaries can save you from resentment in the future. These conversations can be tricky, but I’ll guide you on approaching them with empathy.
Developing a Resilient Mindset
Old age and sickness come with their fair share of challenges including mood swings and cognitive decline. We’ll cover ways you can stay resilient while supporting your loved one through thick and thin.
Sharing the Caregiving Role
Doing everything on your own is a recipe for burnout. I’ll provide you with practical solutions to delegate some of the caregiving duties to others, including family members, friends, or professional caretakers.
Setting Time for Self-care
I get it, it feels selfish to take that walk or get some shut-eye when your loved one is going through a sickness or disability. We’ll work on how you can balance your own well-being with caregiving duties.
Navigating Emergencies
Emergencies such as a sudden health crisis can cause panic and anxiety. I’ll share psychological techniques to remain calm in these situations while being proactive in making necessary decisions.

I just want to vent. Can I talk to you?

My mother has dementia, and I don’t know how to take care of her. Can we talk?
Absolutely. It’s not easy knowing what to do when a parent is struggling with dementia or any other health condition. We’ll work together on designing a personalized plan to help you take care of your parent in a way that works for both of you.
