From a young age, I knew my inner desire and life purpose was to help people. Volunteering my time to charities and those in need, coupled with my love of writing led me to become an educator. As a NYC and Long Island public school teacher, I seized every opportunity presented to me to lend a hand, my ear, resources or a hug where it would be a benefit. Forming relationships allowed me to see how life's struggles and defeating mindsets can interfere with learning and happiness. Likewise, mentoring students and colleagues has truly been fulfilling! It gave me the gift of seeing firsthand how I could make a difference in a person's life through listening, questioning and supporting. This yielded results in their personal and academic lives, noticeably and quickly. With self-reflection, I realized that I was being a life coach and loving it. After much research, I found a program where I could follow my passion. I received my life coach training through Coach Training Alliance.
I started my business to positively impact others because I know it is possible to become stronger and achieve anything. Going through tough moments such as domestic violence, divorce, financial struggles, seeing a loved one self-destruct through substance abuse and raising a child as a single parent was difficult. It made me stronger, and it opened my eyes to realize that everyone is "going through something." In hindsight, I never asked for help due to pride, shame, lack of trust, fear of judgement and not wanting to be a burden. I realize that if I had asked, those times may have resolved sooner and I would have felt supported. I offer this support to you because I understand. You matter; you have a voice.
